Not just rockets & robots...
"Science Fiction" means—to us—everything found in the science fiction section of a bookstore, or at a science fiction convention, or amongst the winners of the Hugo awards given by the World Science Fiction Society. This includes the genres of science fiction (or sci-fi), fantasy, slipstream, alternative history, and even stories with lighter speculative elements. We hope you enjoy the broad range that SF has to offer.

Repeat One

Andrew Neil McDonald works as a video editor by day and struggles as a writer by night. He loves all stories, whether experiencing or telling them, but his favorites are anything involving space or pirates or monsters; bonus points if they're mixed and matched. You can check out his video work at andrewmcdonaldmedia.com and follow him on Twitter @andrewnmc. This is his first publication.

"We exist within a glitch of the space-time continuum," he said, hands flailing, "and are doomed to relive this exact moment, this exact conversation, forever."
Marty laughed. Of course this would happen. All he had wanted was to take a walk through the Myriad Gardens: get some air in his lungs and his mind off Celia, and the next thing he knew this old codger was in his face talking nonsense.
Yet, there was something familiar about the man; the shadow of someone he once knew.
The silence between them was thick, even though Marty knew the rest of the park was alive with birds chirping and children laughing and a baby starting to cry. He barely heard any of it. It might as well have just been him and this man, alone.
Marty decided to humor the guy.
He coughed and said:
"I'm sorry. I don't understand."
The man spread out his arms, eyes wide, and explained.
