For a long time, Wren thought fondly about the time she watched her husband lose his virginity.
Of course, he hadn't been her husband then, but as was tradition for those planning on marriage they paid a few months' salary to take a temporal excursion back to view intimate moments from history, and in their case they'd chosen to take a peek at the popping of each other's cherry.
The loss of his virginity had been awkward and messy, and quick, blink and you miss it quick. By contrast hers had been agonizingly slow, will this ever end? slow, though no less awkward, no less messy, but though the idea had been a bit of a joke at first, the sharing of these moments had bought them even closer together before they said their vows.
That was before though, before he regularly started working late at the office, before he forgot their anniversary. Now she no longer thinks about their shared temporal jaunt, now she just increasingly remembers their wedding night, and she can't shake the feeling that someone was watching....
